I am 40 years old.I have an old photograph where my mother has a very young me in her arms.Recently, my wife looked at the black and white photograph and found my mother to be very pretty.

My wife showed the photograph to her sisters and they also nodded their heads in agreement.

ME AND MY NOKIA XPRESSMUSIC 5800

Posted on June 23, 2011. Filed under: Uncategorized |

Ever since my brother showed me his Apple iPod and I listened to his music collection on it, my dream has always been to have the great gadget. But my lack of fiscal fitness put an end to that dream.

My first cellphone was the Nokia 6610 and after being my companion for nearly 6 years, it decided to play truant and I had to go for a new one. This was the opportunity to go for something that would keep me with my music collection and at the same time keep me in touch with the world. While purchasing the iPod and a good mobile phone was out of the question, I wanted the best of both the worlds. The Nokia XpressMusic 5800 came into my life.

This phone a 3G enabled one helps me browse the internet on the go while the quality of the music output is also something that needs mention. The touchscreen and the ability to download and install apps is something that made me feel taller among my peers.

At one level, I am happy to be regarded as someone who is in line with the current technology but at another level, I have faced embarrassing moments with the phone.

The stylus has fallen from its slot and without it, I am unable to save contacts, write messages or even post status updates on Facebook or even tweet comfortably. The touchscreen is sometimes not responsive enough to my liking. Moreover, the processor appears underpowered for all the tasks the phone is equipped for.

The phone, I believe, is a true reflection of me.It comes with some technology that is not all that user friendly.I also sometimes get the impression of being a misfit in the present age.At the age of 40, I am not comfortable with my senior colleagues and while dealing with younger ones, I feel outdated.

The same can be stated about my cellphone too. It appears outdated in comparison to the likes of the iPhone and the multitude of Android powered devices and the ones from the stable of Blackberry. But in the end, me and my cellphone are not in the habit of going down without a fight.

This post is intended to help me win a brand new Dell Inspiron laptop to replace my old Dell Latitude D610
